I often wonder what kind of environments are obscured by the casings of machines – hidden worlds of marvel and novelty or dusty dens inhabited by odd creatures. We can only guess.

Together with Papersmith Studio, we – all manually – created this suggestion: a scanning machine which allows us humans to travel through its inner architecture and grants us a view of the scenery it initially concealed. An 11-meter-long, magical journey of self-reflection, human judgement and wonder behind the rubber curtain. Obviously, not having actually been inside a scanning machine ourselves, this is only a speculation of what really happens within; although we consider it an acceptable one. Who’s to say we are wrong?
